The service

Traduire Document is offered by Samro Studios Inc. (Quebec enterprise number NEQ 1182334574), in Laval, Quebec. It translates Word, PowerPoint, Excel and PDF documents from French to English and from English to French, keeping the layout as much as possible. The first translated page is free. The full file is paid at download.

Machine translation

When translation of your own files is on, translations are made by an automatic artificial intelligence system (Claude models from Anthropic, PBC, in the United States). No person translates. The samples on the site show translations recorded in advance.

Machine translation can contain errors, gaps, reversed meanings or awkward wording. Always review the result. For a legal, medical, financial or official document, have a qualified person review it before you use it.

The translation is not certified or official. We do not guarantee its legal value, or that it meets any law or standard, including the Charter of the French language. It is up to you to check the document before you use or publish it.

Your documents

• Only send documents you have the right to have translated. If the document holds information about other people, you must have the right to share it for this purpose.
• Remove sensitive information you do not need translated (health, finances, ID numbers).
• You remain the owner of your documents and of their translation. You only allow us to process them, and to have our artificial intelligence provider process them, for the time needed to translate. What happens to your text is explained in the privacy policy.
• Never use the service to make or alter an official document, an ID, a statement, an invoice or any document that appears to come from someone else. Any fraudulent use is forbidden.

Price and payment

The price depends on the length of the document. It is shown before payment in Canadian dollars, US dollars or euros, depending on your country, and charged in that currency. It is a one-time payment, no subscription. Payment is handled by Stripe.

Tax may be added at payment, depending on your country or province, wherever the law requires it. Stripe calculates it and adds it to the price shown before you pay.

Purchase may not be offered in some countries. The preview stays free there.

Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 30 days of your purchase. The details are in the refund policy.

Limits

The service is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the document concerned.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the laws of Canada that apply there.
